Dear Colleagues,
The London Region has decided to arrange a completely informal
social evening for all those of us who cannot attend the SoA
conference in Dublin, mainly though desperate jealousy. It will be
just like the real thing - beers and chat and desperate networking
and more beers. The venue will be a central london pub location,
with a real Irish barman (honest). And even though it is Covent
Garden, we can always pretend we're across the water...
Pre-registration training candidates, and newly qualified archivists
are especially welcome, and there will be an initiation ceremony
involving fourteen pints of Guinness. But only if you're lucky.
Food can be arranged - and colcannon is on the menu - but only if
we have numbers beforehand. So if you are interested in this little
shindig, please let me know. (Replies off list please...to protect the
innocent).
The proposed date is the evening of Thursday 9th September.
Confirmation will follow of time and venue.
So please come along and have a good time. Go on, you know you
want to!
Lesley
