The endowment for this chair was recently doubled, so we are readvertising
the position.  The specific area in genomics is open, but we are looking
for a senior scientist.  Inquiries will be held in confidence.  We
encourage nominations of suitable individuals, and request that you
circulate this announcement widely.

GENOMICS
Hubbard Brothers Chair in the Biological Sciences

The University of New Hampshire invites applications and nominations for an
endowed Professor of Genomics.  We are looking for an individual with a
distinguished record of scholarly activity, an internationally recognized
program of sponsored research, and a commitment to excellence in education,
to build vigorous interdisciplinary programs uniting our existing strengths
with new technologies in genomic biology.

This position is supported by a $5 million endowment and substantial
startup funds.  The successful candidate will join an appropriate
department within the College of Life Science and Agriculture. The College
is diverse, with Departments of Animal and Nutritional Sciences,
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Natural Resources,
Resource Economics and Development, Plant Biology and Zoology.  Graduate
degrees in Genetics are offered through an interdepartmental program
involving 12 faculty from five departments.

The University is located one hour north of Boston on a semi-rural campus
in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire.  A public Land-, Sea- and
Space-Grant research university,  it is home to more than 10,000
undergraduate and 1,700 graduate students.  Additional information about
