These new posts will support the Department’s MRC-funded primary
care research programme.
SENIOR LECTURER – to provide high quality methodological
expertise to a programme of RCTs in Primary Care, and develop a
research programme of analysis of GP consultation data. You will
have five years post-doctoral experience in bio-statistics or
epidemiological research, a strong publications record and a
record of success in designing, executing and presenting research
projects.
RESEARCH ASSISTANT – to provide statistical support for the
design and analysis of agreed research projects within the
primary care epidemiology programme. You will have a
postgraduate research degree in bio-statistics or epidemiology
and experience of study design and analysis.
PhD FELLOWSHIP – carried out under the supervision of Professor
Peter Croft, to investigate hypotheses about the assessment and
treatment of patients suffering chronic pain and osteoarthritis.
You will have a first degree in mathematics, with experience of
medical statistics, or will have completed an MSc in
Biostatistics or Epidemiology.
