The Measurement Quality Division of the American Society for Quality
has a quite a substantial and well-produced newsletter called 'The STANDARD'.
I am one of the associate editors, and cover Europe and Asia in principle.
In
practice, I am mainly finding UK contributors. We have had excellent
contributions
from the UK, and I will keep looking for more, but I would dearly like to
be a little
more European and Asian. If you are located in either zone, or have
contacts that
are there and doing relevant work, please consider our newsletter. You can
see
extracts from back issues at www.metrology.org, and I'd be glad to discuss
possible
contributions. UK contributors still most welcome of course!
Here is some background info from our 'Information for Authors'
'The STANDARD publishes papers on the quality of measurements and the
measurement
of quality at all levels ranging from relatively simple tutorial material
to cutting edge or state
of the art exposition.
'We particularly encourage thoughtful papers from engineers, users,
regulators, all levels of
management, and others. The STANDARD welcomes controversy and reasoned
polemic,
but does not permit ranting and raving.
'Papers published in The STANDARD are not refereed in the usual sense,
except to ascertain
that facts are correctly stated and to assure that opinion and fact are
clearly distinguished one
from the other. The Editor reserves the right to edit any paper and
usually exercises that right.'
Please get in touch with your ideas if this outlet may be of interest to
you. The Division has over
6,000 members and all get a copy.
