Hi Folks,
With British beef and BSE back in the bulletins, I'm reminded
of a question I'd been meaning to try to find an answer to.
I know it's not that statistical, but probably some of you out
there are placed to have an insight into it.
Question: How come that, of all the beef-producing countries,
the UK is the one that got all the stick and the beef ban?
Were we the only ones with a BSE problem? Or were we the only
ones to investigate properly and own up? Or did we own up to
something erroneous? Or <substitute favourite hypothesis here>?
Intrigued.
Private replies please; if anything comes of it I'll summarise.
Best wishes to all,
Ted.
