Ivor Goddard from the RSS emailed and faxed the BBC yesterday. I, and
others, emailed last week shortly after the programme. I phoned on Friday
and left a voicemail for the producer. I phoned today, left another
voicemail, and spoke to a singularly unhelpful person in "information"
who insisted on taking a dictated version of the complaint and wanted to
give me Winston's phone number. I asked instead for the matter to be
progressed within the BBC in the hope that the continuity announcement
could flag the errors at the start of this week's programme.
So far, no reaction whatever from the BBC - they appear to have a policy
of not being responsible for the accuracy of broadcast material.
PM - if you're listening. Who *should* one contact to ask about current
or forthcoming output on TV?
