Centre for Applied Pharmacokinetic Research
EXCELLENT RESEARCH AND TECHNICAL CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Exceptionally good opportunities exist at various levels, for the right individuals, to join a new well-funded multidisciplinary academic centre. The Centre for Applied Pharmacokinetic Research (CAPKR), which interacts and collaborates strongly with an international consortium of major research led pharmaceutical companies, develops quantitative and prediction generic approaches to drug absorption, distribution and metabolism as an aid to drug discovery, selection and clinical development, as well as provides training in the subject. Research extends from experimental studies (in vitro/in vivo) to mathematical modelling and data analysis. The Centre is sited in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (a top ranking, grade 5, research school), with an internationally renowned reputation in pharmacokinetics and metabolism research and teaching.
Postdoctoral / Research Fellow in Mathematical Modelling of Pharmacokinetic Data: You will research and develop methodology in modelling and simulation of pharmacokinetic/dynamic systems.
Research Assistant in Statistical Modelling of Pharmacokinetic Data: You will research and develop methodology in regression analysis, experimental design, modelling and simulation of pharmacokinetic/dynamic systems.
The appointments are planned initially for 2 years with a strong potential for further extension. All positions are immediately available.
The formal selection process will begin in July and continue until the positions are filled. Potential candidates are welcome to contact Dr. Ivan Nestorov, Assistant Director, CAPKR on +44 (0) 161 275 6886, fax +44 (0) 161 273 8196, Email: [log in to unmask], about the posts, or visit our Websites: CAPKR at http://www.capkr.man.ac.uk ; School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences on http://www.pharmweb.net/manchester.html.
Formal particulars and application forms are available from the Registrar (Academic Staff Office), the University, Manchester M13 9PL, UK (tel: +44 (0) 161 275 2028).
