Genome Analysis of Agriculturally Important Traits

Required for a 2-year postdoctoral research project awarded under the
BBSRC programme 'Genome Analysis of Agriculturally Important Traits'. The
post will be based within the BioSS unit at the Scottish Crop Research
Institute (SCRI), Dundee and will investigate statistical aspects of QTL
mapping of tetraploid potato.
Candidates should have experience in statistical modelling and scientific
programming (preferably in Fortran). Some knowledge of genetics is also
desirable. A good first degree and at least two years postgraduate
experience is required preferably with a PhD in a relevant subject.
Starting salary up to £19,000
