A multi-level analysis of participation in Higher education in

The above student-ship has been awarded to Professor Gillian Raab and
Ms Kirsty Davidson. The context is their ongoing work, jointly with
the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council (SHEFC), around the
topic of widening participation in Higher Education.
The student will be part of the Applied Statistics Group at Napier
where other research on associate topics is also underway (e.g. in
relation to deprivation and health). He/she will also spend part of
his/her time working with staff at SHEFC on policy related matters.
We are looking for a candidate who has already completed some
post-graduate training (to MSc level or equivalent). Candidates may
have either a statistics background or a background in a quantitative
social science.
The studentship will pay for all research relayed fees and expenses, a
maintenance grant of £6,455 plus a case allowance of £1,325 and
additional allowances for disabled or mature (over 26) students
