This position has been advertised in the New Scientist this week:
ANIMAL HEALTH TRUST
STATISTICIAN
A new post for a statistician has been created at the Animal Health Trust.
The post-holder will provide advice on statistical aspects of study design
to research scientists and veterinarians and will be responsible for the
analysis of results coming from these studies.
The Animal Health Trust is a charity and a veterinary research institute,
working on diseases of horses, dogs and cats, employing over 180 staff. It
is internationally recognised as a centre of excellence, particularly for
infectious diseases of horses.
The post would be ideal for a statistician with some post-graduate
experience, although training and ongoing support can be provided if
required. Experience with SAS would be advantageous, but is not essential.
The successful applicant will be able to work closely with other
statisticians, epidemiologists and mathematicians in the group.
Collaborations with university departments are encouraged.
