A vacancy exists for the above post with an interest in Occupational
Epidemiology and Biostatistics to join the Occupational Hygiene team of
the Institute of Occupational Health at the University of Birmingham.
Initially, the work will consist of the statistical analyses of data already
collected in an occupational respiratory morbidity study, with the
emphasis on longitudinal analyses. The successful candidate will be
required to actively participate in the design and conduct of new
research in this field. In addition you should have a degree with a strong
mathematical and/or statistical component and have detailed knowledge
of multivariate analytical techniques, and experience with statistical
software packages - in particular SAS or SPSS.
Salary £15,735 - £18,275 a year. The post is available for 12 months
