PhD Scholarship - Statistics
A General Method for Analysing Social Data for Modifiable
Geographical Areas.
The University of Wollongong is currently offering a postgraduate
research scholarship funded by the ARC
This project will develop and evaluate methods that will allow
researchers to analyse data for areal units to make valid inferences
about relationships that are not specific to the particular set of areal
units used. A PhD Scholarship is available with a tax-free stipend
of $16,135 pa and a relocation, removal and thesis allowance.
Applicants for the PhD scholarship must have completed, or expect
to hold, a good Honours degree or equivalent in statistics by the
end of June 1999. Applicants must be Australian citizens or
permanent residents.
