Two Research Studentships in Medical Statistics
We are looking for two bright, well-trained statisticians (MSc or
equivalent) for PhD research in medical statistics. The aim is to
develop directly applicable statistical methodology based on data
from major medical research projects. Specific proposed areas are
longitudinal data analysis in asthma clinical trials, and prognostic
models for patients with hypertension in a large meta - analysis, but
other topics may also be considered.
Research students are well integrated into the overall academic life
of the Medical Statistics Unit, thus ensuring a well-rounded
preparation for a future career in the profession. Studentships are
for three years with 10,000 pounds living expenses per annum plus
fees (home-student rate).
