Title: The analysis of multivariate failure time data with
applications to clinical trials in HIV infection
Multiple time-to-event outcomes are measured in many clinical trials.
However the analysis usually focuses on a single (possibly composite)
endpoint so that standard metheds of univariate survival data are
used. The limitations of this approach will be highlighted and methods
for the analysis of multivariate failure time data reviewed. These
fall into three broad classes - marginal, conditional and frailty
models. More recent developments in some of these models will be
discussed and illustrated with data from clinical trials in HIV
infection.
