6th UK Stata user meeting, London, 15th May 2000
------------------------------------------------
The 6th annual UK Stata user meeting will be held on 15th May 2000 at
the Royal Statistical Society in London. Organised by Timberlake
Consultants (http://www.timberlake.co.uk), the meeting will be the
latest in the longest established series of Stata user meetings. It
will include a mixture of paper sessions and open discussions. The
academic content is being organised by Nick Cox, University of Durham
([log in to unmask]) and Patrick Royston, Imperial College, London
([log in to unmask]).
`UK' indicates venue, no more, no less. In previous years, we have
enjoyed the participation of visitors from several countries, not only
from Europe, but also spanning from Australia to the United States. We
welcome participation by anybody interested in the use of Stata, at
whatever level.
Please send offers of papers now to either Nick Cox or Patrick Royston.
Papers may cover new user-written Stata programs; substantial analyses
using Stata; surveys of Stata facilities for areas of statistics,
graphics and data management; critiques of Stata; suggestions for
improving or extending Stata.
It is envisaged that both brief (10 min) and longer (>=20 min) slots
will be available to suit different kinds of presentations.
The precise logistic details will be announced later. There will be a
modest charge for coffee, lunch and tea and use of facilities.
