The 20th Conference on Applied Statistics in Ireland, CASI 2000, will be
held at the Great Southern Hotel, Rosslare, Co Wexford, Ireland during
Wednesday 17th to Friday 19th May 2000 under the auspices of the Irish
Statistics Association. The Conference has become the main forum in
Ireland for methodological development in Statistics and has gained a
reputation for its hospitality over the years. The Great Southern Hotel is
easily accessible by road and train and is convenient for the ferries from the

There will be contributed papers (oral and poster presentations) on the main
themes of the Conference and on general statistics (methodological or
