Postdoctoral Research Fellow
A postdoctoral research fellow post is available from 1st December 1999, or
as soon as possible thereafter, for a fixed period of 4 years, based within
the Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Research Unit. The appointee will work
with Professor Anne Chamberlain and colleagues on the application of Item
Response Theory, and similar approaches, to health outcome measurement. The
appointee will be expected to build on an existing portfolio of research in
this area, and work with a broad range of clinical and academic staff on
the application of such techniques to their own work.
A PhD in relevant subject (e.g. statistics, health services research), is
required. Postdoctoral experience (two years) in application of Rasch
analysis, latent class analysis and latent transition analysis is highly
desirable.
The salary will be on the scale Research RIA (£18,915-£24,479) according to
qualifications and relevant experience.
