Folks,
Following up on this theme of a few days ago, it may interest people
to note the following:
Whereas it has been pointed out that the ISI bibliographic database
is now hosted on MIMAS Web of Science ( http://wos.mimas.ac.uk/ ),
with BIDS ( http://www.bids.ac.uk/ ) continuing to run an "overlap"
service until July 2000, as a test I just ran identical (unless I made
some mistake which I overlooked) queries on the BIDS ISI service and on
the MIMAS ISI Science Citation Index, and got different results.
The BIDS results were MUCH more comprehensive (on the statistical
front) than the MIMAS results.
Best wishes to all,
Ted.
