I'm copying my reply to the list because I want to append a query of my
own.
The best (in fact just about the only) such resource I know is BIDS
(Bath Information Data Services):
http://www.bids.ac.uk/
wherein you choose the ISI index (for Science etc, or EMBASE for
Medicine etc) and carry on from there. My experience is that coverage
of statistics is excellent.
However, this is a subscription service for which you need a user
identifier and a password. The usual route of access in the UK is
via your own HE institution's institutional subscription for which you
personally register at your institution, getting the userid and
password at the time. I don't know whether this kind of arrangement
could work for non-UK people or for non-HE people: BIDS is supposed to be
for UK Higher Education only.
My own query: Are there other good resources of a similar kind which I
can recommend to people not in a position (or else not willing, e.g. for
occasional or one-off queries) to set up a subscription arrangement with
BIDS?
Best wishes to all,
Ted.
