"Multiple Criteria Performance Measurement Using Data Envelopment Analysis
and Maximum Correlation Modelling"
CHRIS TOFALLIS (Dept. of Economics, Statistics & Decision Sciences,
University of Hertfordshire Business School)
On Thursday 18th February 1999, 6.00pm in Room A166, Lindop Building,
University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield Campus. (Tea 5.30pm)
Synposis:
Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a technique which can be used for
performance measurement when there are multiple criteria. It has been
applied in both the public and private sector to compare schools, banks,
etc. Unlike regression based techniques, it does not measure relative to the
mean but with reference to best practice. How DEA identifies best practice
and hence measures relative performance will be explained.
