Portfolio Management and Project Prioritisation in the
Pharmaceutical Industry
This post is suitable for an applied statistician qualified to PhD level
with an interest in applying decision analysis to practical problems
concerning the choice of candidate projects for drug development in
the pharmaceutical industry. The main abilities sought are a good
all- round knowledge in statistics, an interest in applying statistics
to practical matters, an enthusiasm to collaborate with scientists
from other disciplines, the capability to carry-out self-directed work
and an ability to communicate the results of statistical research.
Knowledge of Bayesian decision-analytic approaches will be an
advantage as will a proven interest in medical, economic or
financial statistics.
