SENIOR POST IN INFECTIOUS DISEASE MODELLING
Transmission models of infectious diseases are likely to play an
increasingly important role within public health and epidemiology over
the next decade, and the Department of Infectious and Tropical
Diseases wishes to appoint a senior academic to promote and coordinate
research and teaching in this area within the School. A particular aim
is to develop and validate models in conjunction with the detailed
data from large-scale epidemiological field projects in which the
School is involved in many parts of the world.
We are looking for a senior researcher, with several years of
experience in infectious disease modelling, experience of working with
large data-sets, familiarity with public health and epidemiology and a
proven track record in publications and research funding. The
appointment will be at senior lecturer, reader or professor level,
depending on qualifications and experience.
