This 2-day course will describe the various approaches which
have been proposed for modelling longitudinal data with
missing data, compare their strengths and weaknesses and
provide illustrations of their application to a variety of
datasets. In particular, an important class of missing value
problems are those related to dropout: when some individuals
withdraw prematurely from a study, it is often the case (eg in
studies concerned with mental health) that the reasons for
withdrawal are connected with the phenomenon of primary
interest.

academics and includes course notes, lunches, evening meal and
refreshments.
This course is designed for postgraduate and research training
and is funded by ESRC.
