Abstract
----------
Goal time data from the English football league shows that the rate
at which goals are scored changes during the course of the match. The
rate tends to increase but also depends on other factors such as the
current score. The talk presents a single statistical model for the
goal-scoring process which has applications in spread betting and may
be useful to both bookmakers and betters.
