My letter regarding the quoting of statistics in a court case was
published in the Guardian Friday 12 November. For details, see

point out that figures had been used to confuse ("to dazzle rather than
illuminate"), I suggest that the discussion on the "correct" value or the
"correct" interpretation be deferred - the case may come to appeal.
