Required to help run two clinical-trial related projects. Firstly, a systematic
review of group and individual patient data relating to acute stroke trials, in
particular the effect of changing blood pressure on outcome after stroke.
The second project involves supporting an international multi-centre clinical
trial of blood pressure lowering in acute stroke. This work, and other
projects related to systematic reviews of group and individual patient data,
will contribute to a PhD.
Candidates should preferably have a degree in medical statistics and some
experience in clinical trials and systematic reviews.
Salary will be within the range £15,735 - £17,570 per annum (under
review), depending on qualifications and experience. This post is available
immediately and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of one
year, with the possibility of renewal for a total of three years.
