Zeneca is synonymous with innovation. At our Jealott's Hill Research Station
in the UK, we are applying our knowledge and skills to develop advanced crop
protection solutions which are trusted by farmers all over the world. We
operate in a culture which encourages people to be bold and imaginative and
believe that valuing individuals with different backgrounds and experience
will lead to improved business performance.
This role will give you an excellent opportunity to contribute to our
understanding of how and where developments in agrochemicals may impact
beneficial arthropod populations. Liaising extensively with scientists from
a broad range of disciplines, you will be a key member of a project team
addressing such sensitive issues as the re-colonisation and recovery
processes and long-term ecological sustainability.
You will:
* have a good first degree with a mathematical component
* have completed (or be about to complete) a PhD in a closely relevant
area or one that demonstrates your ability to use biological data to
construct and validate population models.
* be a strong conceptual thinker with a flexible but thorough approach
to research, and a real concern for its impact.
* good computer skills and programming experience
* numerate with strong analytical skills
Candidates without a PhD may be considered if they have suitable experience.
