PART-TIME STATISTICAL PROGRAMMER

(As funds are limited this appointment has a maximum of point 6 of the
grade.)
A part-time (40%) Statistical Programmer is required to work on The ELGA
Study, which is funded by Action Research and is a collaborative study
of the psychological and physical health in teenagers born at Extremely
Low Gestational Ages - before 29 weeks' gestation. The post is
available from Jan-Dec 2000. Key responsibilities are to carry out
comparative analyses of existing datasets and identify common variables
across three regions (Oxford, Scotland and the North) in both perinatal
data and follow-up data; to provide computing support for the project
manager and the research psychologist in the analysis of the 16 year
data; and to explore the relationship between perinatal variables,
earlier outcome data and new survey data in the combined dataset.
Experience of SPSS and knowledge of statistical methods will be
essential.
