SOCIAL EXCLUSION - THE FACTS
Special low price fee - only £60 for Acaademics for the conference of Social
Exclusion Statistics to be held at the Royal Society, London on 22nd
November.
The conference is jointly sponsored by the Statistics Users' Council and the
European Advisory Committee on Statistics.
15 speakers drawn from the UK, Austria, Italy, Ireland, Denmark and the
Netherlands will address 4 main themes.
- Social Exclusion Statistics in the UK
- Social Exclusion Statistics in the European Union
- Applying social Exclusion statistics at the Local Community Level
- Action Plans
One of the key papers will be a preview of the Cabinet Social Exclusion Unit
report which is not due out until December. Eurostat have been very active
in funding and promoting research studies on Social Exclusion, the main
results will be explored during the conference.
Delegates receive a bound set of paper in advance of the conference. The
speakers then are free to highlight their main points and maximise the time
available for discussion. Now is the time when we can all make an input into
one of the most important topics of our time.
