Hi,
Things seem to be getting a little out of hand.
Allstat is a broadcast list rather than a discussion list, that
is why we specifically ask that replies to queries are directed
to the sender of the message and not to the list. If the query
is of wider interest then the sender of the query is more than
welcome to post a summary of replies to the list - in this way
the information is made available to anyone who is interested
in a bite sized chunk that can be easily deleted by anyone who
isn't interested.
Messages likely to provoke debate on the list should be posted
elsewhere. There are plenty of stats discussion lists out there,
it only requires a little effort (ie looking at the Allstat
webpage) to find them:

As always, this is all explained in both the Allstat introduction
and FAQ. I sent an FAQ to the list quite recently and you can also
find it on the Allstat webpage. It's terribly helpful and reading
it will only take up a few minutes of your hectic lives.
Cheers,
Matt
