MEDICAL STATISTICIAN / SENIOR MEDICAL STATISTICIAN

The NYCTRU conducts regional, national and international randomised
clinical trials in
a variety of clinical fields; its associated research portfolio and research
collaborations
includes work on informed consent, quality of life, public views on research
and health
economics. The Unit also provides a statistical consultancy service and
training courses
on clinical trials.
Based at Cookridge Hospital, Leeds, you will be involved at ALL STAGES of
randomised
trials, including funding applications, design, conduct, analysis and
publication.
Your key skills should include the ability to work well within a
multidisciplinary team
(including trial co-ordinators, health professionals and programmers), and
first class written
and oral communication skills. Ideally you should have a postgraduate
qualification in statistics or
relevant experience, although MSc students about to complete their course
are welcome to apply.
Experience of SAS would be an advantage but is not essential. All staff are
given excellent training
opportunities.
Salary will be in the region of 23k depending on experience.
