My client, a household name in Biosciences, has a strong history of
development and use of statistical methods to support their
manufacturing capabilities. Vacancies now exists within their Process
Technology Department, made up of specialists in areas such as physical
and organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, process analysis and
statistics. They are looking for two experienced industrial statistician
to provide comprehensive statistical support to their chemical sites in
North England and Scotland respectively.
As the sole Statistical Consultant, you will be regarding as the
'on-site expert' and will support the Process Technology Group. The role
will include training, consultancy and participation in a variety of
project teams. There will be a particular demand for advice on plant
and laboratory design techniques/statistical process control with
respect to process development and manufacturing. The ability to
communicate complex issues clearly and with enthusiasm to a wide range
of people from a non-statistical background will be essential for this
role.
With an honours degree or higher qualification in statistics or a
related subject you will have at least 2 years relevant industry
experience. You also need to demonstrate the ability to work
independently and the flexibility to succeed in a demanding consultancy
role. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability
to grasp new concepts quickly are crucial.
