TRAINING COURSE IN APPLIED STATISTICS AT LANCASTER UNIVERSITY
==============================================================
Title: Linear models for longitudinal data
Dates: 8-9 June 1999
Fee: 65 pounds
Lecturer: Professor Peter Diggle
==============================================================
This 2-day course will follow the same general lines as the
treatment of linear models for longitudinal data in Diggle,
Liang and Zeger (1994), but with less emphasis on mathematical
technicalities and a correspondingly stronger emphasis on
concepts and illustrative examples. One fundamental issue is
the need to take account of correlations between repeated
measurements on the same subject. This raises challenging
questions with regard to the formulation of suitable
statistical models, associated methods of parameter estimation
and hypothesis testing, and software implementation.

Course fee quoted is a special fee for EU students and
academics and include course notes, lunches, evening meal and
refreshments.
This course is designed for postgraduate and research
training and is funded by ESRC.
