Dear Andrew,
At Lancaster University, we do waive fees for fulltime members of staff who are
accepted to study for MPhil/PhDs. These are real fee waivers, ie no money
changes hands (or lines on a spreadsheet). We also have a special arrangement
for fulltime staff employed at our two associated institutions who register at
Lancaster whereby we invoice the institution for a nominal registration fee at
the start of their studies and a nominal examination fee when the student
submits. The issue of fee waivers for part time staff is one which we're
attempting to sort out but we haven't had any success so far.
