(a)I am assuming that there will be no payments except:
1. in the case of 'existing' students where we will still have
responsibility for certification in relation to mortgage style loans;
2. for Hardship Loans, although clearly any payments will have
to be on a different basis than currently. It is one of the issues
AMOSSHE and other organisations are raising with the DfEE and I will
post something to admin-student if and when I get some sort of
response.
(b) Our Student Loans person is on a short term contract so, from an
institutional point of view, this should not be a problem (except
for how we deal with mortgage style loans after the end of her
contract). Clearly, from a personal point of view, it is not quite so
simple.
