With apologies for cross posting . . .
The Higher Education ACCESS Centre is undertaking a case study on
the use of technology in examinations. This study is funded by the
DISinHE Centre at the Department of Applied Computing, University of
Dundee.
The main aim of the case study is to develop guidelines for the use
of technology by disabled students in examinations but it is
anticipated that the outcomes will have implications for all
students using computers in examinations.
In order to develop valid guidelines, the experience and opinions of
staff and students is being gathered. Two questionnaires have been
developed; one for staff and one for students. These questionnaires
are now available for completion on the web at:
http://www.disinhe.ac.uk/resources/case_studies/slhill/Qintro.htm
All staff (academic, administrative, technical and support staff)
and all students in higher education are invited to complete these
questionnaires. I would be most grateful if you would pass this
message on to colleagues and students in your institution.
With many thanks,
Shirley Hill
