I am a little confused about the relative levels of these courses, in
relation to hons. degrees - there seems to be variation in practice.
My old institution offered these outcomes as a part of
modularisation, with first-year exiters getting a cert, second-year
exiters a diploma, and completers getting the Hons degree.
However, the proposed qualifications framework seems to suggest that
this is incorrect, and set too high.
As I have to give a briefing on this shortly, it would be a great
help to know what the "standard" pattern is in different
institutions.
