Does anyone have any experience of using the remission of fees as a
marketing tool to attract students onto undersubscribed courses. This idea
has been mooted at UWIC but we are mindful of the contents of ACL 24/98
detailing the discounting or waiving of fees to students and the powers of
the Secretary of State. Has any institution found a way to attract students
by offering financial incentives without contravening DfEE regulations, for
example by offering bursaries and has anyone been able to gauge the success
of such a scheme? I would be grateful for any replies - my personal Email
address is shown below.
