David
the letter Jacqueline is talking about is dated 16/03/99
addressed to Academic Registrars. It says that ' a Microsoft
windows
application ... will be sent to all institutions containing the
results
of the first exercise (ie course details), providing insert,
update and
delete functionality for the institution and course information.
Institutions WILL USE this application (my capitals!) to create
the
information required by the DFEE...."
I e-mailed the SLC's help address last week to ask about
the
format of the database since I don't envisage using their
application to
create data we already have in our own system. No reply yet.
No sign of database or application either.
A revised deadline is (good) news to me - anyone know
when the
new deadline is likely to be?
