Following recent submissions to the admin-planning list, there are a
couple of suggestions I should like to make (as list owner) to improve the
way the list is being used.
There have been a number of job vacancies recently posted to the list.
Whilst I am not against this, it would make members lives easier if the
vacancy details were either in plain text or, if they are included in an
attachment, if a short description of the vacancy could be included in the
main text (just a job title and grade would do). This would allow those
who were not interested in the vacacny to delete the message without
having to open the attachment.
Secondly can I ask for all members who submit general questions like "how
many ??? are there at your University" to firstly receive all the
responses (rather than the list see them all) and secondly to send a
summary to the list afterwards.
If anyone has any comments on these points, please send them direct to me
and not the list!
