russell,
the answer is that the u/g fees will not stay at £1000, they will go up by an 'inflationary' amount; otherwise the universities would be facing a further financial squeeze.
the amount has not yet been announced.
p/g fee levels, of course, are not binding on unis, therefore their publication has not been as important to the sector.
rather they are seen as a somewhat woolly guideline figure.
furthermore, the rate usually appears to be published within some obscure research information, and it is often a while before someone spots it and widely circulates it.
cheers,
tony

Does anyone know what the DfEE recommended tuition fees are for the
next academic year?
I am assuming that the FT UG fees will remain unchanged at ú1000, but
there is usually an uplift for the FT postgraduate fee.
It may already have been published somewhere and I have missed it.
Thanks for any responses.
