Working and Learning: A one day conference on student employment
issues.

With upwards of 50% of students working during term time, how can
employers, higher education, and government maximise the benefits
which flow from this?
Specifically the conference will cover the following topics: ·
. The financing of higher education
· Student employment: the employers' perspective
· The impact of part time work on students' academic studies
· Higher education responses to the growth in students' part-time
employment
· Work-based learning and skills development in the undergraduate
curriculum
· Students' rights in the workplace.
