Jonathan,
I'm sorry, but I continue to fail to understand why ALL codes 46
and above are not included in this 'value-added' analysis. Your
message states that the data will now include codes 55, 92, 93
and 98. If the Guardian truely believe that they are
'unashamedly' rewarding institutions that bring 'mature students
or others with low or no qualifications ... up to a good degree
standard' then why are those students not being included in this
revised analysis - namely codes 51 - 54, as well as 99 (using the
1997/98 coding frame and excluding Overseas qualifications)?
Please enlighten me!
