PLANNING ASSISTANT
Birkbeck College, based in Bloomsbury, has the highest
proportion of research active staff of any college or
university in the greater London area. It provides
undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, primarily for
part-time mature students.
Applications are invited for the post of Planning Assistant
within the Planning Office of the College's central
secretariat. The postholder will be responsible for the
administration of a range of central management information
records and processes. Working with staff at all levels of
the organisation, you will supply a range of management
information reports for use by the College and external
agencies. There will also be opportunities to develop new
information systems necessary for the continuing
development of the College.
With preferably a degree level qualification you will have
a minimum of one year's appropriate work experience; a
background in higher/further education or the public sector
would be an advantage. You should be computer literate and
able to use word-processing and spreadsheet packages,
ideally Word and Excel. You should also be numerate,
methodical, able to work under your own initiative and
prioritise and meet deadlines.
Salary in the range £15,208 to £17,268 pa inclusive of
£2,134 pa London Allowance in Grade CRA4.
