Hi all:
like Jude following up on Patricks invitation for existing list members to
re introduce themselves now that the list membership is on the increase.
Like Jude I work in the project SURFACE team here at Salford University
(england).
I have a BA hons in social science specialising in international politics
and with a strong basis of research methodology theory. I worked for
Greater Manchester Policie Force for a short time as a research assistant
conducting and annalysing client satisfaction surveys but SURFACE is my
first real research job, or rather I should say my first opportunity to
conduct qualitative research.
I am hoping to start my PHD early next year looking at the effectiveness of
disability legislation in an international perspective. This will
concentrate on issues of accessibility to the built environment but will
probably look briefly at other areas such as education and employment too.
personal interests include computing and music (strictly listening for me,
no singing) and scuba diving. I'm currently secretary of DogFish diving
club, a British Sub-Aqua club branch for visually impaired divers.
you can find more about me the person rather than me the SURFACE research
assistant by taking a look at my website
