Trevor: as far as I know, there is no plan to publish Prynne's prose, which
is a pity, since it's appeared in rather scattered places. The curious may
find a bibliography of JHP's work at
<http://is2.dal.ca/~ndorward/prynne.html>. This is now slipping badly out
of date (there are three books of poetry to add--the new _Poems_, _Pearls
That Were_ and _Red D Gypsum_--and a lot of 2ndary material, nothing very
important but a lot of reviews of the new _Poems_); but the list of
Prynne's prose is more or less complete now. (Does anyone know, by the
way, the source of the Prynne quote about Nicholas Moore, on the back of
the 2nd edition from Menard of Moore's _Spleen_ if I remember rightly?
[don't have the book in front of me].)
By the way, the story I have from Barry MacSweeney (from an alarmingly long
longdistance phonecall across the Atlantic--hope he gets to write this off)
is that the title of _Red D Gypsum_ refers to a system used by British
Telecom for marking telephone poles (which is so secret that they refused
to tell JHP how it worked despite his efforts to extract the information
from them). Can anyone confirm this factoid?
all best --N
