mr t.joyce
well, it's not so much a disagreement as an arguement:
i notice that a certain kind of poetics is tolerated by our society -
i.e. one that is adjectival & ultimately meaningless. altho' i respect
the work people such as jhp have done over the years i also know that
what they write is purposeless in the context of our world.
there's a mate of mine who was tutored by jhp 30 yrs ago - as a result
he's turned from a would-be writer of free verse into a composer of
iambic tetrameter rhyming couplets.
so bugger that for a show.
i noticed by the way the fine art of 'nithing' as yr posting only
referred to stephen pain (who wld be fastly asleep - see time
differences) & left me out of it.
cheers.
