Thanks for all that. I didn't NEED it but I am glad of it and in future
retrospect may have needed it.
And yes the Long Oxford is on my library to do list.
I have a bird in the trees somewhere round here - it's camouflaged or
something so I haven't seen it - doing a very effective car alarm. Either
that or there's a car up in the trees.
& thanks to those who have responded backchannel. I have advice on German,
French, Spanish, Japanese and Hebrew now - Hebrew advice ongoing. & a part
response i.e. more info needed on Chinese
.
What it is - I am thinking about performance of sound / visual texts and the
importance of gesture as a factor in and part of the utterance - Cobbing,
bpNichol, McCaffery, Dutton are examples - and recently seeing Alistair Noon
doing very subtle scored gestures
thinking - (bodily) gesture as a BIG thing
and then thinking of - "well it was a gesture" meaning nothing much
and I became intrigued
so thanks to all - more info welcomed
