Seeking help on the following:
1. the Beckett text which contains these words: "No matter; try again:
fail again; fail better." unsure of the punctuation.
2. Is the Tom Phillips work which incorporates said words available as a
print (I saw it once as a postcard)?
3. Are any of Joe Harriot's recordings still in print or wax or tape?
[circa 1962 my sister brought him home to our family row house in
Coventry & we stayed a w/e at his St John's Wood flat - image:
middle-aged, black avant-garde alto-sax pioneer dancing the twist to
Manfred Mann at the Marquee Club with a 5'2" English girl & a
spotty-faced chaperon brother who was yet to read his first MacSweeney
or Raworth etc poem]. I found the album "Swings High" in a used record
store in Victoria, BC, his Quintet's we-can-also-do-mainstream album
from 1967. Looking for the group with Shake Keane & the more
experimental or the Indo-fusion work.
Thanks,
Pete.
