Jean Aitcheson, the Rupert Murdoch Professor of Language and Communications
at the University of Oxford, will be coming to the Press to deliver a talk
on Thursday May 20th. This talk is part of a series of background talks
arranged in English Language Teaching specifically for Reference (i.e.
dictionaries), however some poets teaching within the Cambridge University
may be interested in attending the talk and there are a limited number of
places available. If anyone would like to attend, please drop me a line
backchannel as soon as possible.
She will be speaking at 2.00 in the North conference room on the second
floor of the Edinburgh building. The title of her talk is:
"From Birdy Birds to Absolute Disasters: Advances in understanding the
mental lexicon"
Best
Chris
